Public Servant, Long-time Capitol Hill Resident

Hello neighbor! I’m asking for your vote to be the next ANC Commissioner for District 7D09. I have lived and worked on Capitol Hill for 14 years, including the last six in our Hill East district. I moved to Capitol Hill after college and immediately knew this is where I wanted to put down roots.

This is my home, and I want to make it an even better place to live. My top priorities are building more housing, improving city services, increasing street safety, restoring the reliability of public transportation, combating gun violence, and ensuring the redevelopment of Reservation 13 meets the needs of our community–housing and amenities like grocery stores and retail.

Professional experience

First, a little bit more about me. I have lived and worked on Capitol Hill for 14 years. I currently serve as senior adviser on the Senate Finance Committee, where I have helped lead efforts to pass an array of legislation to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, transition to clean energy, increase housing supply, and lower health care and prescription drug costs.

Most recently, I led strategic communications efforts on policies included in the Inflation Reduction Act, the most significant legislation to respond to the climate crisis ever passed by Congress.

Prior to joining the Finance Committee, I worked for the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Dianne Feinstein, Congresswoman Lois Capps, and the House Rules Committee. In these roles I worked on four Supreme Court nominations, and led communications on issues including agriculture, criminal justice, civil rights, health care, education, immigration, homelessness, natural disasters, transportation, and veterans.

I am a graduate of the University of Maryland and Georgetown University.

Local experience

In addition to more than a decade of federal professional experience, I have significant local experience. Before moving to Hill East, I served on the board of my condominium on H Street, where I increased our building reserves tenfold, oversaw numerous capital improvements, and served as a liaison with city officials on a range of issues, from crime to construction.

In my spare time, I enjoy running, biking, the beach, and my Book Club
